#KingJames finally wins NBA Championship
This should come as great relief for the man they call King, who since his arrival in the NBA had never won a championship ring. Only since his controversial move to Miami did he truly realize his full potential.
In a team packed with other superstars such as Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh, James rose above all to become the first player since Magic Johnson to score two triple-doubles in a series and his 8 in the playoffs. James scored 26 points and the Miami Heat tied an NBA Finals record with 14 3-pointers in a 121-106 victory against the visiting Oklahoma City Thunder to clinch their first title since 2006.
“I know what got me to this point; hard work and dedication,” James said during the trophy ceremony. “Last year I played with a lot of hate. I play this game with love and dedication.”
The win is greatly deserved for Miami as they played the best Basketball, and it seemed just a bit of a stretch for the boys from Oklahoma. Their scoring champion Kevin Durant, who led the Thunder with 32 points, could not carry the team.
