Mi Casa su casa – as they share their talents with the world
J’Something – Singer and Composer
J’Something –experts have acclaimed the front man to be one of the most gifted vocalists in South Africa and his stage presence and effortless swag speaks volumes of what he brings to the group, captivating audiences (especially the fairer sex) with his seductive and sultry voice. Often being mistaken as a one man show, J’Something tends to remain grounded and constantly reminds the public of his talented colleagues – a quality that will certainly stand him in good stead moving forward.
Mi Casa’s Hitman’s resume’ clearly speaks for itself as the Dr. Is responsible for linking up J’Something’s vocal talents with Mo-T’s instrumental skill – a feat not easily mastered as proven by the intricacies of their music. Dr. Duda has collaborated with the likes of fellow Soulcandi heavyweights such as DJ Fresh, and other established dj’s such as DJ Mandla and DJ Mbusa.
Mo-T – Trumpeter
Despite Mo-T’s tendency’s to allow J’Something and Dr. Duda’s to capture the limelight take nothing away from his worth as he’s solely responsible for providing Mi Casa a natural bare resonance – being the only member playing an instrument.
South African Music Awards (SAMA)
The soulful ballad compounded by J’Something’s technically sound vocals and Dr. Duda’s up beat samples reincarnates Sade’s 1984 version and provides listeners with a new perspective as it adds a dancing element to the soundtrack.
