City down United in vital Premiership decider!
Monday night’s derby match between Manchester City and Manchester United was certainly a one-sided affair as the Reds seemed to be “absent” on the day.
The possible Premiership decider which saw the “Noisy Neighbours” down the 19 time champions 1-0 could have produced a more enthrilling ninety- minute encounter however Ferguson’s men failed to step to the fray with middling performance’s from the entire side!
This could be attributed to Manchester City’s aggressive display of football and their tactical noose could have been the reason for Ferguson’s side crumpling on the day.
All credit given to City’s captain Vincent Kompany who not only scored the decider in first half stoppage time, but also for the manner in which his marshalled his troops in strangling United’s possession and zest as the Reds clearly lacked anything close to urgency and momentum.
Disgruntled United fans will most certainly be questioning Ferguson’s decision to play midfielder Ji Sung Park after the South Korean’s extended omission from the side. Park lacked match fitness early on and slow movement on and off the ball from both veterans Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs played a major role in City’s domination.
